2.15 gram end-cut.   Martian (shergottite)

TKW 7 kg. Observed fall July 18, 2011, near Tata, Morocco.

Roberto writes:
Sporting some of the freshest glassy fusion crust I've ever seen, here is my 2.15g end-cut of Tissint. Tissint fell on July 18th, 2011 (my birthday) in the Tata Province in Morocco. Classified as a Martian Shergottite, it is one of only a handful of witnessed Martian falls.

This is a spectacular Tissint specimen. A thin end cut like this is ideal -- plenty of glossy fusion crust on one side, and a nice window into the interior on the other.

Nice specimen. In particular, the crust is very beautiful.
