EHLMANN A.J. et al. (1992) Classification of 4 ordinary chondrites from the Monnig Meteorite Collection (Meteoritics 27-4, 1992, 470-472, excerpt): Type 5 assignment is based on the poorly delineated chondrule boundaries, the coarse recrystallization of the chondrule mesostases and the Wo content of 1.5 (Scott et al., 1986). Assignment to shock stage S3 (weakly shocked) is based on the undulatory extinction and the planar fracturing of the olivines and the presence of numerous melt pockets.
