161.9 grams with 13mm x 9mm "crater."   Iron, IIAB

Richard writes:
A recent discussion on the List regarding origins of such craters on irons sparked me to send this picture in. It begs the question, "How were these formed?" My most likely conclusion is simply that other pieces banged into each other upon explosion, but wouldn't this have resulted in scrapes rather than a "crater" ?

I love Sikhote-Alin meteorites! They're fascinating. They have unique shapes and there is also shrapnel! They're fun and are perfect beginning meteorites for young collectors!

Richard, perhaps you have both a scrape and a crater there.
