Yes Solar, it was shocking, someone just didn't know what it was, but some smarter people saw it, picked it up and several other pieces were found later around the whole area.

Yes, Bernd, "City Dump" "Land fill" same thing. It is a very small town out in the plain.

Hello Anne, was it really found in the *city dump*? In the Catalogue of Meteorites (5th Edition) you find this: "A single mass of 56.6 kg was found in a *landfill* at Julesburg."
