TKW 1914 grams. Observed fall 11 August 1976, Acapulco, State of Guerrero, Mexico.

Acapulco is a strange meteorite with chondritic composition and achondritic texture. It fell on August 11, 1976, single mass, 1914 g. Type specimen of the Acapulcoites Dimensions: 31 x 21.5 x 2-3 g with some fusion crust. Weight of sample: 4.88 g. Rare to find in this size in private collections.

Playing with light shows the greenish looking silicate matrix and the metal-rich texture. The close-up view shows a field of about 8x6 mm.
