I think it's safe to say this is an oriented individual minus the pretty flow lines you'd find on better examples, though I did not purchase it labeled as such so probably saved a few bucks on that note. I feel lucky to have acquired such a piece because it's sorta fresh and shows good examples of subtle roll over lips with vesicles tucked near the edges on two sides. There is a bit of damage to the froth so it didn't make it to market unscathed, but really no biggie. I would REALLY like to see the interior ~(self control)~. It must have been a pretty nice landing.
Happy Days People!! Love mother earth, and don't volunteer to go to Mars. I know it sounds exciting - the whole Christopher Columbus story, land on new frontier, mad meteorites to claim, getting irradiated and shredded by dust storms - but let's be logical here. Even though Earth is taking a beating in some aspects it's alot more kind and nurturing, wouldn't you agree?

Thanks for the complements, that meteorite is a favorite. Its difficult to choose favorites. Doug some how knew you'd appreciate what I said, I think you hit the needle on the head. Noachian hunting,... Demode... :) |

Steve, No true Scotsman would logically follow you. The difference between armchair scholarship and the empirical exploration is the engine of human development. Until I get my one way ticket to Mars where claiming meteorites would be demode, and Noachian hunting in vogue, nice unclassified meteorite, thanks! |
