13.4 grams.   Provisional

TKW 140 grams. Fall not observed.

Bernd writes:
Another provisional NWA beauty. The MetBull says: "fresh complete stone, black crust, LL chondrite" but to me it looks more like an L chondrite and it also readily jumps to a strong magnet - too strong for an LL chondrite.

There are abundant, slightly oval chondrules and chondrule fragments and a few large, white clasts - probably pyroxene. The 13.4 gr slice features a prominent oval metal bleb and several POP chondrules. There are quite a few, small and very fine-grained golden troilite fields.

Provisional NWA's for those that were sold for profit should be submitted. What are these this way?? Besides US sellers, a number of German sold meteorites are also still provisional. And these too are exceptional meteorites with no provenance. Shameful efforts. Any update or response out there that gives us hope for some of these NWA old timers.

A shame, such a beauty remains "provisional" for almost 20 years!
