8 gram slice.   Eucrite-mmict

TKW 816 grams. Fall not observed. Found 2012 in Morocco.

John writes:
8 gram specimen from my personal collection. NWA-7035 is a very unique basaltic Eucrite that is so unusual looking that many dealers were sure it was a Martian meteorite when first cut. Large feldspar lathes mixed in with the pyroxenes reminds many of a course shergottite, or even looks sort of like some of the Lunar basalts in collections today. This special HED part slice was first purchased from Greg Hupe. It was a full slice of over 20 grams. It has a beautiful polish on one side only.

We're on a streak of curious and beautiful eucrites! This one looks just like a slice of spotted dolerite from Stonehenge to me. MB say found in 2012, but Hupe saw it in Munich in 2011. Sounds like it was *purchased* in Tucson in '12. Maybe aziz you can correct this? Very attractive matrix and nicely prepared specimen ... thanks, John, for sharing!
