Cute picture. Clearly a complicated breccia (looks like L3-6). How did it get classified as L5? Some big patches of metal suggest there's been some shock melt. The dark "eyes" could be a) lower type (dark matrix); b) C-chondrite clast (although it looks like too much metal to me); c) shock blackened clast; d) aqueously altered clast (wouldn't expect that much metal). Can't tell without a thin section. |
