43.8 grams.   Howardite

TKW 15.24 kg. Observed fall 2 September 2015, Bingol, Saricicek village, Turkey.

Pronounced Sari-Chi-chek, meaning 'yellow flower'.

Edwin writes:
This fall near the village of Saricicek, Bingol Province, Turkey, has produced "Pennies From Heaven" for many people in this part of our Big Blue Marble!

The beautiful fusion crust on many of these stones is so thin that with magnification one can see right through the crust to the matrix beneath. Howardite falls are very rare. Many of these priceless gems display orientation and amazing flow lines from flight.

Wow that's a gorgeous stone!!! I'll bet the fusion crust wouldn't last long and loose it's shine from weathering pretty quickly. I love it when a fall is recovered so fast

Very nice Edwin. I like the variations of the fusion crust. They're from glossy dark black to a seemingly diffuse pale green, and usually in combination.
