Robert writes:
I obtained this spectacular, hand picked individual from the original well known finder in 1995. I was passing thru this part of Texas while on a meteorite hunting trip to Allende. I was drawn to this particular specimen due to its distinctive character. Whereas most examples from Odessa tend to have lost their former, true regmaglypts through flaking from weathering, or are found in the form of shrapnel, this nice, complete individual appears to retain true, distinct regmaglypts. In fact, one very well respected and knowledgeable member of this list has told me that it is "perhaps the best piece of Odessa there is". While that perhaps will always be a matter of debate, I feel very lucky to have obtained this piece.

What a spectacular piece of Odessa!!! That's without a doubt the best and you and the previous mentioned is correct to say so. Many Odessa show their mother earth age distinctly. Your example must have been buried in some desert clay soil preserving the outstanding regmaglypts!!!
