.175 gram part slice. TKW is197 grams. Lunar (anorth)

Doug writes:
Lunar feldspathic impact-melt breccia. The dark melt glass veins in this slice really convey the impact-melt formation of this breccia. It's also one of the most colorful lunars, mostly as a result of hematite staining over the course of its >300k year terrestrial residence.

Nice Lunaite Doug! Lunaites are very special and rare meteorites.

There are many pairings of this meteorite including Dhofar 908. I think one of them, maybe it was 908, was dubbed the lunar "rosetta" stone because it was the first find to have a unique mix of lunar materials.

300K terrestrial age, that's incredible!

This one is a colourful Lunar...probably due to the weathering as you say Doug. I too have a nice slice and It was found by a friend of mine from Germany who was staggered that it had sat there in the desert for 300k years and he was the first to pick it up....quite a thrill...met Bulletin has some photo links to it in situ.
