What is a thin section?       What do all the colors mean?
5 grams.   CM1/2

TKW 60 grams. Fall not observed. Purchased 12 June 2014 in Morocco.

Ray writes:
My slide maker took this sample down to 27 - 28 microns & still in polarized viewing it's almost impossible to examine the minerals / Chondrules. The matrix is so dark that it won't allow good viewing even when using a full wave filter. I tried experimenting with Dark Field & Bright Field lighting but nothing really allowed for great viewing. This shot was taken just with back scattered light.
