42 grams.   LL5
TKW 1 ton and counting. Observed fall 15 February 2013, in Chelyabinskaya oblast’, Russia.

Steve writes:
Here is a beautiful 98% black fusion crusted stone. This was found days after the fall. No moisture touched this gem. Also a very unusual shape for a chely stone.

Beautiful stone, Steve. Also, when someone makes a comment here, wouldn't it be nice if it was accompanied by a name?

Looks quite stained for a 'fresh find', the exposed matrix is brown and oxidation can bee seen slightly on the surface

A very nice flight oriented Chely Steve, Beautiful crust and a great size as well. Cheers

One side convex, one side concave. Looks like this specimen had a relatively stable flight through the atmosphere.
