The estimated total weight of NWA 869 material collected is about 7 metric tons. It contains solar gases, hence it is a regolith breccia. Unfortunately the strewn field is undocumented but most specimens show characteristic features that make it easy to distinguish them from other NWA meteorites.

Hi Bernd and all, to me NWA869 is one of the nicest stony meteorites we have collected from the NWA region. Each specimen contains a wealth of features worthy of study.
