Thin section.   Eucrite

TKW 58 grams. Fall not observed. Purchased January 2014 in Tagounite, Morocco.

FoV: ca. 24 x 16 mm.

MetBul 103:
This specimen is texturally-unusual among eucrites in being porphyritic with an extremely fine grained, quenched groundmass.

Indeed an interesting eucrite. Part of my 2-gram specimen is plagioclase-rich and both my slices (2 g + 1.63 g) show glassy veins.
