4.73 gram full slice.   Lunar

TKW 261 grams. Fall not observed. Purchased 2014 in Morocco.

Anne writes:
Single stone, no fusion crust, irregular sandblasted exterior. A wire-saw cut and polished surface reveal a breccia with multiple textural lithologies and prominent shock melt veining.

No Graham, according to the Met. Bulletin and the owner of the main mass, no there was no fusion crust on it when found. It had probably been eroded away by a few thousands of sand storms.

The Dark matrix really shows off the other components of this excellent Lunar. Nice size and shape, was there any crust around this piece Anne?

Thank you Bernd, Thank you Mike (are you coming to Tucson?) Yes, it is a pretty little lunar, and so far no pairing.

A lunar with a last-quarter Moon in the lower right Quadrant :-) Thanks for sharing!

That is a beauty, Anne! I really love the interior matrix; a lot of "lessons" can be seen here.
