Dear Anne! I sure this is a chondrite. Density is: 3,23 g/cm3, attracted to the magnet. You can see the remnant of fusion crust on the photo #2 and #3. My friend, Mr. Zsolt Kereszty was checked this chondrite. He's an expert in Hungary, He's member of IMCA (6251)

Lajos, this "meteorite" (if it is really a meteorite!!) is so unusual looking you really should ask an expert to look at it and analyze it, it could add to what we already know about meteorites. And that's always important.

Thank you for your interest! Yes, the colors are correct, I compared the pictures with natural sunlight. I don't know how much pieces was found, I have just one. It's only 140 grams, I don't want to certificate. I don't think this is a Diogenite piece, because those are rather little bit green.

Interesting looking / can the yellow colour be from sulphur ? or is the matrix a actual yellow ? would be interesting to see a windowed area , how much of this was found ?
