2021 Fall Date Project

The MPOD Caretakers want to present meteorite falls on their fall dates. For example, Sikhote Aline on 12 February.

This Project will not dip into the MPOD archives so the Caretakers will appreciate anything you can contribute.

To reserve a date just let us know. Thank you in advance :)

657.3 grams. 105 x 86 x 39 mm.   unclassified

Geoff writes:
I have been working on this meteorite for eight years. In my professional opinion, Las Palmas is a separate meteorite fall and nothing to to with Campo. The strewnfields are 200 miles apart and perpendicular to each other. I have refrained from releasing this material as official classification is still pending, but I just had to share this fusion-crusted, sculptural beauty.

Any news about it*s classification? Is it Campo, as many say, or different? Nice shape anyhow, although I doubt to see fusion crust.
